Tele2 Russia added 547,000 (949,000) customers in an increasingly competitive market. EBITDA margin was 36 (32) percent.
Mobile revenue in Sweden grew by 17 percent, as customer demand for smart phones and data services continued to increase.
Tele2 in Kazakhstan prepared for commercial launch through intensified efforts for improving network quality and distribution capabilities.
Tele2 Netherlands developed well both in the corporate segment and mobile segment.
Continued profit growth
In Q1 2011, Tele2’s net sales amounted to SEK 9,573 million and EBITDA amounted to SEK 2,457 million, equivalent to an EBITDA margin of 26 (25) percent.
Tele2 is performing well
The first three months of 2011 have continued to show strong revenue growth in our main markets. During the quarter, we focused on executing against our set performance targets, and I am glad to announce that our results are in line with the company’s financial guidance.
